Past, Future, Present

This is Joni Eareckson Tada. If you’re struggling today, here’s three things that can have a powerful influence over the way you view your problems. First, remember those times when God’s been good. Psalm 105 says, “Look to the Lord… Remember the wonders He has done…” Our perspective brightens when we remember the times when we felt His everlasting arms.

Next, focus on the future because Isaiah 35 assures us that one day sorrow and tears will flee away. Earth is never meant to satisfy and there will come a day when you will dwell in the house of the Lord and He’ll wipe away all your tears.

Then finally, don’t forget He’s with you right now in the present. Psalm 27 tells us that He is with us in the day of trouble. So there you have it: Past, future, and present. Remember what He’s done; think on what He’ll do; and know He’s with you now. That’s being covered with the love of God.
