Nehemiah, Agent Of Change

By |Published On: August 4, 2020|Categories: 1-Minute Radio Program|

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. What are you thinking, now that the turmoil in our streets, the rioting and rage, has somewhat settled? Are you pining for the good old days, when our communities were like they used to be? Are you longing for “once was?” WellGod’s not interested in “once was.” Hes interested in change. There is reconciliation and restoration that needs to happen in our country, and God is looking for people like Nehemiah who, after he prayed and fasted, took action. Nehemiah was only a cupbearer, but he was God’s agent of change to a city in shambles; Jerusalem had been plundered, and its people were hopelessly divided. But God prevailed through the prayers and social action of Nehemiah. So take heart, friend. God is not looking for people with degrees in social justice. He just wants cupbearers like you who will pray, and then take action on behalf of our hurting nation. I’m Joni Eareckson Tada.
