Lord, I Receive It
This is Joni Eareckson Tada, and one of the most beautiful and heartwarming verses in the Bible is in Numbers, “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace.” The other day an old friend came by my office and when he left he peered around the door, he said, “God bless you, Joni.” My immediate response was, “I receive it!” And I meant it! I want to make sure I open my heart for any blessing from God that’s coming my way. Oh my, with arms open wide, I happily receive the life and divine energy that God imparts — and often, He imparts such grace when He moves in the heart of a sincere Christian to speak a blessing over us. So today, look for ways you can bless those around you today… and while you’re at it, happily open your heart to God’s divine favor toward you as you obey Him, and simply say, “Lord, I receive it!”
