Lighten A Load

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and when you have a disability, it’s amazing how everything slows down. It just takes longer to do stuff. Longer to go places. Like for me, getting up in the morning? Most people jump out of bed, take a quick shower, off and running. But that’s certainly not me with my quadriplegia. And it’s not that way for thousands of special-needs families. Everything takes time. A lot of time. But that’s okay. It causes us to wait – and I mean really wait – upon the Lord. And that’s a good thing, because God’s love is slow. And he will not, I repeat not, he will not be hurried. Hey, find a way to come alongside someone you know with a disability, a family, and help them in their walk in Christ. And it may be a slow walk. But carry their burden as it says in Galatians. Lighten their load. Help is always appreciated, so find out ways you can help at joniandfriends.org. I’m Joni Eareckson Tada.
