Let Us Kneel

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and I grew up in a Reformed Episcopal Church where we used kneelers; I learned as a small child what it meant to bend my knee before the Lord. Now, I’m not making a big deal of kneeling in prayer, it’s just that I sure wish I could do it now! But being paralyzed in a wheelchair, it’s impossible to literally bend my knees and kneel in prayer. And it’s why I can’t wait for the day when I get my glorified body – one of the first things I want to do before the Lord will be to fall down on grateful, glorified knees. I will once again have the chance to say with Psalm 95:6, “Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” Yes, even though I’ll have the chance to dance and run, kneeling before God will be my sacrifice of praise. Heaven is just around the corner. So get ready for it; today, if you’re able, flip to Psalm 95 and kneel before the Lord.
