Kathy’s Help
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and I was born the last of four girls, with Kathy as my next older sister. After I broke my neck, every Saturday morning Kathy would arrive at my hospital bedside with fresh donuts. She’d spread out a tablecloth on my sheet, get milk from the hospital cafeteria, and together we’d enjoy donuts while watching Saturday morning cartoons. My sister did everything she could to make that difficult season in my life as easy as possible. Kathy illustrates Ecclesiastes chapter 4 where it says, “Two are better than one … If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” I am so grateful that God designed families to help one another. So, do you have a sister – or a brother – in need? Follow my sister Kathy’s example – and the wisdom of Ecclesiastes – and help ’em up!
