Jesus’ Intercessions
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and, like me, you are grateful to God, aren’t you, for all that Jesus did for you when He carried His cross to Mount Calvary, right? He saved you back then. But have you ever wondered what Jesus is doing for you now? Right this minute? Well, He’s still saving you. What do I mean? Well, Hebrews chapter 7 says that right now, Jesus is in heaven serving as your high priest, living to intercede for you. That’s what Jesus is doing; He is living to pray for you; He’s being your advocate. Right now, He is praying for you and saving you from the schemes of Satan. Through His prayers, He’s saving you from discouragement. In other words, right now He is actively applying to your life every benefit of His death and resurrection. So, take time to thank the Lord that He saved you back when you first believed; and please, today, thank Him that He is saving you right now.
