It’s Christ’s Party
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I love thinking about heaven. It’s the day when I will see Jesus and, in that instant, I’ll become just like him. Heaven is a place where I’ll see my long-departed mom and dad. Heaven is where I’ll get a new heart free of sin. And best of all, heaven is where I will receive a new body and I’ll be able to run, skip, dance, jump up and down and… wait a minute, is that what is best of all about heaven?! I don’t think so. Because heaven is not so much about me and what I will gain. Heaven is about Jesus.
When we all get to heaven, it’ll be to celebrate His coronation as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Heaven is not our party; it’s our Savior’s party. And whatever rewards we will have gleaned down from here on earth, we will have a chance to cast those crowns at His feet. Yep, I can’t wait, and I bet you can’t, either. Heaven is gonna be one big party to celebrate Jesus.
