Don’t you love the word “home?” Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and when I say the word home, I think of warmth and acceptance, a place of love and welcome. A place where you belong and are wanted and enjoyed and celebrated. Home is a place where “you” is helped along by your connections with everyone else in the house. In the truest sense, it is a place where we fit like nowhere else. Now, that’s the ideal; problem is, we live in a broken world and so, our household sometimes doesn’t feel like home. And it’s why we all long for something more, something better than this world. ’Cause it’s just not our home. But one day, friend, goodness and righteousness, kindness and courtesy, joy and peace will come home to stay. And that’s why, with the apostle John, join me today in saying, “Come quickly, Lord Jesus.” Even so, come quickly and take us home.
