God Uses Sleepless Nights
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and nothing is random when it comes to the Lord. Just look at these details in the book of Esther. So, okay, King Xerxes could not get to sleep one night and oddly enough, he calls for someone to read him the chronicles of his reign. Well, as the reader drones on, an obscure little passage gets the king’s attention, and that passage prepares him to grant an empire-altering request that Queen Esther will make of him the very next day. Because of that obscure passage, God’s people will be spared, and centuries later, this people will produce a young boy who will grow up to die for the sins of the world. All because an emperor could not get to sleep.
Oh, friend, God is in the details; and He delights in arranging so-called little coincidences. So, keep alert; don’t go to sleep on God; because night and day, He’s working out His plan in your life.
