Fred’s Verse

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Years ago, I served as the chaplain for the Paralympic Games in Australia. While there, our host, Fred organized our schedule, and he had us going non-stop! Driving home one night, Fred looked tired and I asked if he was looking forward to getting rest after we left. He looked at me, with eyes halfmast, and said, “I may be weary, but I’m a Proverbs 10 verse 5 guy.” When we returned home I read Fred’s verse, “He who gathers crops in summer is wise, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a disgraceful son.” I feel like Fred.

I want to squeeze out every ounce of ministry that I possibly can from this quadriplegic body, before the harvest arrives. So, friend, look around, those neighbors and coworkers? Those are the fields white for harvest. Now is not the time to slack off. Today, work for God and gather a crop for the Kingdom.

Sharing Hope Through My Quadriplegia and Suffering

Cameron never imagined he would live without the full use of his hands and legs. He joins the podcast to talk about how God has filled him with strength and grace amid his suffering, which has led people to know Jesus and displayed God’s power through trials.
