Fellowship in Suffering

Isn’t it wonderful to be embraced by others in the fellowship of suffering?  Well, hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and that fellowship is more precious than we realize. Because think of it: When Jesus was on the cross, He had no fellowship. There wasn’t any comfort to be found; just a lot of insensitivity from His disciples. Jesus was even forsaken by the Father. But Hebrews chapter 12 describes how Jesus got through it all. It says, “For the joy set before Him He endured the cross.” So, our Savior focused on heaven’s joy and the salvation of those who would trust in Him, all to the end that we might have comfort in our affliction and a true fellowship with other believers.
