Faithful Is He Who Calls You
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and it’s hard to accept it when God says, “no” to your prayers. Maybe you prayed that your loved one would be healed. Or that finances would come in for a need. Or that you’d get accepted to a certain college. But to all of these things, God said, “no.” And that is hard to accept. But did you know that God also provides extra grace, when He says, “no” to things? Because when the Lord denies your prayer request, He will then see to it, through His grace, that you are able to accept His answer. Whatever He demands from us, He always supplies for us. Because as 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says, “Faithful is [the One] who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” And that, friend, applies to answers from God that are yes and ones that are no. So, today, if you are grieved that God has said no, trust that He’ll give you grace to accept that very difficult answer.
