Encouraging Others
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and let me share about a special family from Family Retreat. Their names are Jim and Janet. They were in a horrible car accident in which they lost their little child, Hope. And although their other children, Joey and Hannah, were spared in the accident, those children both landed up in wheelchairs. Not to mention the fact that Mom and Dad both suffered broken hips and bones. Oh, I was so grateful when they signed up for our Family Retreat; you know, I thought that we could be an encouragement to them; but, oh, did they encourage the rest of our special-needs families! Sure, they still have lots of adjustments to wrestle through, but they are making it one day at a time with Jesus. And along the way, they are encouraging an awful lot of others.
