Cupbearer To The King

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and now more than ever, I resonate with the Biblical hero Nehemiah. When Nehemiah saw his beautiful Jerusalem in shambles and its people murdered in the streets, he says, “I sat down and wept and mourned for days.” Now there’s a man who was grieved over his nation. And with everything happening in our own nation, I can relate. But Nehemiah not only wept, he took action. He was merely “a cupbearer to the king,” but he knew he was God’s man for the job of rebuilding and reconciliation. And like Nehemiah, you may be only a cupbearer,” but will you get actively engaged in sharing Christ across dividing walls of hostility? Will you take action and become an agent of reconciliation? Rather than point the finger, let’s work together to find answers. Let’s pray, let’s work, let’s help our troubled nation find Jesus, its only answer.
