Better Things In Heaven
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and although I’m paralyzed, I remember what it was like to play the piano, or to dive through waves, to peel an orange, or to hold the hand of someone I loved. But! I am comforted, knowing that whatever I have lost here on earth, whatever the ability to hold things or feel things, or to run or to walk – whatever I’ve lost, it’ll all be regained in heaven. And not just “regained!” Uh uh. I’ll have so much more. Because those wonderful things are only a foreshadowing of better things in heaven. My goodness, I think I know Jesus now? Well, the joy in Christ that I experience now is only a tiny hint of the far greater joy of knowing Him in heaven in all His fullness.
So, be encouraged today: your best memories and most delightful times with Jesus are simply whispers of their joyous fulfillment coming up in heaven. Celebrate that today!
