An Imitator Of Jesus
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and it’s built into our nature to imitate. Just make certain, though, you imitate the right thing; or, I should say, the right person. Ephesians chapter 5 says to “Be imitators of God…as beloved children, and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering.” Look, Jesus knew great pain for our sakes; he endured all things that we might live in him. So, today, join me. Let’s be imitators of his endurance. Imitators of his patience. Of his kindness toward others even while suffering. Let’s be imitators of Jesus’ glad willingness to submit to the Father’s difficult, yet wonderful will. Let’s be imitators of Jesus as we give our lives up as a fragrant offering, without a hint of complaint. Can we do this? Will you do this? Make imitating Jesus your goal today.
