Always Giving Thanks
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. It was a hot and sultry day at Family Retreat where I found shade under the roof of an open pavilion. Soon after, Andrew and Caron, and their two boys sat down on a picnic bench near me to chat. And once I learned Andrew was a worship leader, I could not help but break into a hymn. Right away, he chipped in with harmony. And under that big pavilion our song resonated and sounded so big and beautiful. Within a few minutes, families began wandering up from the lake. The more we sang, the happier we all felt, and the more Jesus was honored. You know, the Bible says, “Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything.” That’s what we do at Family Retreats.
