Adorning Words With Kindness
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and my husband Ken loves to make much of whatever small opportunities God gives him. Especially when it comes to giving the Gospel. One example? Ken likes to keep his eye out for our mailman. My husband talks freely with our mailman about Jesus and likes to “do what Jesus would do” on a hot California day – maybe offer a kind word, a smile, and a frosty, refreshing drink. Our mailman has now a better idea of who the God of the Bible is, all because Ken backs up his words of witness with a little human kindness. So today, find a way to speak of Jesus Christ, while adorning your words with acts of kindness. Perhaps an uplifting note, or a budding flower, or an iced-cold drink.
