A Solitary Life
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When Mrs. Morgan lost her husband, many thought she’d have a terrible struggle living alone. But when asked if she felt lonely, she said, “You know, I’ve adjusted nicely to the solitary life, for I’ve never been so confident that I am not alone. The Lord and I, we talk together all day. When I wake up in the morning, He’s waiting there to greet me, and when I go to bed at night, He stays up, and He stands guard.” Wow! Any loneliness that Mrs. Morgan may have felt has dissipated, because she’s confident the Lord is near. So near, in fact, that he says in Isaiah 41, “I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.'” Oh, friend, are you convinced of that today? Do you know that God holds your right hand? Follow Mrs. Morgan’s lead, would you today? And please be confident. With God? You are never alone.
