Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Have you ever wondered if what you’re doing – you know, the way you’re serving God, your work at home or in the church – have you wondered if it’s enough? Well, I have some reassuring words from Mark 14. A woman took a jar of very expensive perfume and poured it over Jesus’ head. It says, “Some of those at the banquet scolded her, but Jesus said to them, ‘Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me.’” Wow, such a small thing; such a simple gesture as breaking a jar of perfume and lavishing it on Jesus. And Jesus called her service beautiful! Friend, your service in the kingdom may seem small, but if you do it with an eye to his glory, God takes great delight in it; and he will use your efforts! So, do what you can in the kingdom of Christ. It may seem small, but I just bet Jesus thinks it’s beautiful.
