A Remedy For Hair Loss
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and my young friend Natalie is battling a rare form of cancer. She’s losing her beautiful, long blonde hair because of chemotherapy, and I thought for sure, it would really rattle her. ’Cause her hair is her trademark. For her, hair loss could be a big deal. But the other day when she pulled a handful of strands out of her hairbrush, Natalie said to me, “Joni, when I looked at my fistful of blonde hair, I turned my face heavenward and I said, ‘Lord? You know the number of hairs on our head, so I know that you are giving me extra attention this morning with another recount!’” What a great attitude. And it’s the attitude of Philippians chapter 4, which says, “I’ve learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” Natalie is content because she knows God is sovereign over her head of hair. Are you discontent about something today? Then please celebrate God’s sovereign control over it, just like Natalie.
