A Picture of Heaven
Some heavenly things can happen at our Family Retreats. Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I’m thinking of the father of a disabled boy who attended Family Retreat. He told me that when the volunteers helped his child out of the wheelchair and into the water, and he saw his little boy splashing around with everyone else, he started crying. Because, to him, it was a picture of heaven. This father said, “You know, it looked like heaven because everyone was having such fun… and in the water, nobody looked or felt disabled.” This dad experienced a glimpse of what Revelation chapter 21 describes as a new heaven with no more tears, no more pain… and no more disabilities. Our volunteers brought heaven to this family.
