A Note From Susan
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I’ll never forget a speaking engagement at winter time when I was in Chicago. I had been up all day at several events and ended my evening with a lecture at Moody Bible Institute. I was exhausted and it was freezing cold. As I waited for Ken to get the van, a student slipped a card in my wheelchair, and said, “Miss Joni, read it when you get a chance.” Later when we were settling in to the hotel, Ken found the note. But it wasn’t a note—she had handwritten Second Corinthians chapter 9 verse 12, “This service that you perform is overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.” Wow, it was all I needed to hear.
That quickly, God’s Word put the busy day into perspective. And it’s amazing how far a little encouragement will go, so hey, why not send someone an uplifting Bible verse? Pass on the blessing and give the Word of God. I’m Joni Eareckson Tada.
