A Narrow Place
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada reading from Numbers 22:26; it says, “The angel of the Lord moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to turn, either to the right or to the left.” Why do I want you to hear this today? Because you’ve been there. Or maybe, you’re there right now: you know that place. It is a hard place that God literally leads you to – a difficult place in life, full of impossibilities. Maybe it’s a heartbreaking, challenging place with no room to turn, either to the right or to the left. And you feel so alone. But, according to Numbers chapter 22, you are not alone. Look at it! It’s not a place where there’s only room for the painful problem. No, the angel of the Lord stands in that narrow place. And as the saying goes, if God has brought you to it, He is gonna bring you through it. Oh, friend, Numbers 22 – that’s your encouragement for today.
