A Child of God

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and, ah, the life of a child, right? To sleep peacefully, wrapped warm in a soft blanket. Babies don’t have a care in the world. Maybe that’s because babies instinctively know they have no business worrying. They know their mother will be there, caring to their every need. Doesn’t it make you a little envious? Well, don’t be. Because you are a child, too. You are a child of God and your loving, heavenly Father keeps better watch over you than any mother could possibly do for her baby. So, quit worrying. If you have a lot of adult things pressing on you today, if you feel hassled and stretched by life’s demands, just remember, like a baby, you have no business worrying. Rest on the fact that your Father in heaven wants to wrap his loving arms around you, and take every worry away. “Be anxious for nothing,” the Bible says. It’s a wonderful command that takes away every care!
