Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson TadaNot long ago, I underwent thirty-five sessions of radiation to kill a reoccurring cancerIt was very hard, and the radiation made me so tired and wearyBut through those weeks of rigorous treatment, I smiled and kept up a “We Can Do It!” spiritI was like Rosie the Riveter, rolling up my sleeves to defeat the enemy! My radiologist noticed it and commented that I must have strong characterHe had no idea how weak I felt, and so I told him that the “we” in we-can-do-it is me and JesusI lean hard on Jesus and He pours His strength into me. Like Paul says in Philippians, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” So, friend, let your hardships remind you of your need for JesusLet them drive you deep into the strength of your SaviorBecause then and only then can you conquer with a “we can do it” spirit.
