Stephanie Williams

Area Director

Stephanie brings over thirteen years of ministry and local church leadership experience. She grew up in Long Island, New York, and moved to California in 2003 where her journey of serving God and his people began. A Gulf War veteran, Stephanie has three sons and one granddaughter. Stephanie is proud to be part of the Joni and Friends family and is eager to see how her background of service to God and nation will bless families living with disability, knowing that her steps have been ordered by the Lord.

YoungLife Capernaum – Young Life Capernaum is a program within Young Life that serves teens and young adults with and without disabilities, fostering friendship, purpose, and belonging.

College of Adaptive Arts – CAA’s mission is to provide an equitable and lifelong collegiate experience to adults with disabilities who historically have not had access to higher education.

Parents Helping Parents – Get support, information, and training for you and your loved one of any age with any disability or diagnosis. Services include 1:1 consultation (by appointment), support groups, neighborhood offices, webinars, videos, resource directory, and more.

Special Olympics Northern California – Special Olympics Northern California provides free year-round programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. We offer training and competitions in 11 sports, unified schools programs, health & wellness activities, leadership training and more!

Silicon Valley Down Syndrome Network – The Silicon Valley Down Syndrome Network (SVDSN) is a network of families with children born with Down syndrome. We come from all walks of life, and our common goal is to provide a community of support for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Autism Society San Francisco Bay Area – The Autism Society San Francisco Bay Area creates connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully. Our mission is to grow a stronger Bay Area autism community. By creating a robust hub of information, resources, networks, and advocacy, we help advance common goals for the Bay Area’s 20,000+ autism families. Rather than serving as a direct service provider to individuals with autism and related disabilities, we seek to provide a community focal point.

Angels on Stage – Angels on Stage enhances the lives of children and young adults with special needs by breaking down stereotypes and empowering them to develop friendships, independence, confidence, self-esteem, and general life skills through the medium of professional performing arts.

City of San José Disability Affairs Office – The City of San José prioritizes an inclusive and barrier-free environment so that people with disabilities have equitable access to City services, programs, and facilities.

We equip our interns to become leaders and advocates for people living with disabilities around the world.
