Learn practical ways the church can come alongside families so parents feel loved\, supported\, and welcomed. \nSession 4: Melenie Chan\nSetting Up a Safe Space in Your Church\nChildren with disabilities can become overstimulated in busy environments. Learn how a sensory space can help create a place where children feel safe\, welcomed\, and loved.Session 5: Danielle Bressel\nRespite and Buddies\nExplore how respite care and buddy programs can support families by giving parents time to participate in church and accomplish everyday tasks\, while also showing individuals with disabilities that they are seen\, valued\, and loved. \nSession 6: Patti McVay\nHow to Handle Behavioral Issues in the Church Setting\nLearn to understand what behavior may be communicating and discover ways to support people with disabilities in church settings through grace\, consistency\, and clear communication tools.
