A new wheelchair and a donated wheelchair being held by volunteers in blue shirts

Wheelchair Collection Drive – New England (Worcester County)

October 1, 2026 - October 30, 2026

Joni and Friends New England is teaming up with Liberty Church in Shrewsbury and Morning Star Christian Bookstore to hold a month-long wheelchair collection drive throughout October!

Worldwide millions of people are in need of a wheelchair. 80% live in developing nations where wheelchairs are unavailable or unaffordable. As a result, people living with disability are often isolated, rejected, and ignored by their community. You can help change this. Every wheelchair donated to Joni and Friends provides the opportunity for a person with a disability and their family to experience the love and hope of Jesus Christ!

Donated manual wheelchairs will be restored to like-new condition and delivered to people in need developing countries. Wheelchairs are custom-fit to their new recipient’s unique needs through our Wheels for the World® program, and every wheelchair is delivered with the message of hope in Jesus along with a Bible in the recipient’s language.

Do you have a manual wheelchair or mobility device that is no longer being used? Donate it to Joni and Friends to change the life of a person living with disability! Tax-deductible receipts are available.

  • Manual wheelchairs of all types and sizes
  • Wheelchair footrests, parts, and trays
  • Wheelchair seat cushions
  • New crutch and armpit pads, hand grips, and foot tips

Please note: We are unable to accept power wheelchairs.

Times:

  • Monday-Saturday: 9:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Sundays: Liberty Church only
