Global Mission Internship – Brazil

Interns will travel to Brazil to serve with Joni and Friends partners at First Baptist Church of Feira de Santana, and at a rural private school near Cipo. At the school and at an International Family Retreat at the church, interns will be exposed to the needs of people with disabilities in an international context. They will be able to help families by sharing God’s love and offering hope to those who have been impacted by disability. Many of these families are facing extraordinary challenges as well as exclusion from local community life.
Interns will model inclusion as they serve as buddies to these campers while their caregivers receive much needed respite. Retreat programs consist of small group discussions, arts and crafts, recreation and games, Bible stories, and more! Interns will serve both at the school in Cipo and minister to a rural settlement across the road from the school.
