Internship Indigenous Global Mission Kenya

June 15, 2025 - August 18, 2025

Only For Kenya Nationals

Interns participating in the Kenya internship will have received training in disability ministry through Beyond Suffering (BYS), and now have the opportunity to participate in practical application in serving people affected by disability through Family Fun Days and Luke 14 Banquets. The purpose of the intern program is to give the interns practical experience in planning and hosting ministry events for the disabled community. Interns will gain skills and practical experience that will help them initiate ministry with the disabled community in their home congregations and local community. Interns will plan and host three Family Fun days with Luke 14 dinners. The Family Fun Day will include games and activities, a session of praise and worship, a devotion, and a special Luke 14 dinner. We will begin with a planning and training day, followed by the activities and end with a debriefing day. We hope you will come to serve with us! All interns are granted opportunity to use their gifts and skillsets to serve their team and people affected by disability with whom they come into contact. Whether you’re a special education, therapy, or ministry major or are a person with great organizational, photography or writing skills, come ready to unite as a team to bring hope only God can provide for the marginalized of society.

During my internship I gained a deeper understanding of disability ministry and developed leadership skills to better serve the deaf community. I look forward to leading the team in 2025 and teaching the Beyond Suffering curriculum to our next intern cohort. Intern – Esther Wangari
