This scenic trail features beautiful waterfall views and offers a unique opportunity for individuals of all abilities to experience God’s creation\, build meaningful relationships\, and enjoy the adventure of the outdoors together. \nLuke 5 Adventures specializes in making hiking accessible to all by providing adaptive equipment\, including specially designed hiking wheelchairs. Their team offers a range of equipment to accommodate the unique needs of most hikers under 260 pounds. There are coverings in case of inclement weather. Will the event still happen if it is raining?Yes! Rain or shine the Barnyard Bash will still be in full swing! We have plenty of space for you to enjoy the day even if there is rain.Where will I park?Upon arrival\, our parking team will direct you to our convenient and accessible drop-off point. Nearly 10% of the people in the Brazilian population live with a disability and many are confined to their homes due to the shame felt by their families and a lack of affordable mobility equipment. Additionally\, people living with disabilities are often neglected by Brazilian society and there is little initiative in creating accessibility for them. On this outreach you will have the opportunity to meet people who feel forgotten and trapped by poverty and offer hope by sharing God’s love and care for them. DESCRIPTION:Event InformationVolunteer InformationEvent Information\nHosted by Joni and Friends Central California\, this Warrior Getaway is held at Calvin Crest Camp in Oakhurst\, surrounded by the Sierra National Forest (30 minutes from Yosemite National Park). We serve our American servicemen and servicewomen who have visible and invisible injuries as a result of military service. Veterans\, along with their families\, are provided a safe space for respite\, spiritual renewal\, and healing. Your family will experience fellowship with others facing similar challenges\, and find new hope in Christ. Come enjoy a wide range of accessible family activities\, powerful speakers\, counseling opportunities\, and time in God’s Word. \nEvent Cost:\n$100 per family. Generous Joni and Friends donors have covered the remaining $500 cost for all participating families. \nVolunteer InformationIf you are a Christ-follower with a heart to bring help and Gospel hope to people with disabilities\, you can make a powerful hands-on difference by volunteering with us at a Warrior Getaway. \nAs a volunteer at Warrior Getaway\, you will join our team in offering experiences of healing\, rest\, and belonging to American servicemen\, servicewomen\, Veterans\, and their family members. Whether you serve in children’s programming\, offer support to Warriors as a peer-to-peer volunteer\, or step into another supporting role\, you will make a lasting difference\, all in the name of Jesus. \n\nNo experience is necessary!
