DESCRIPTION:Information for FamiliesInformation for VolunteersInformation for FamiliesJoin us for four hours of fun and respite at Saving Grace Therapeutic Riding Center in Lancaster\, Ohio. Enjoy guided trail rides\, a petting zoo\, crafts\, games\, a bounce house\, worship\, a Bible lesson\, and more. Lunch and snacks are included. Halftime Respite is designed for parents to get some time away\, while their children (children with disabilities and their siblings ages 4+) are cared for in a safe and family-friendly way.Information for VolunteersIf you are a Christ-follower with a heart to bring help and Gospel hope to people with disabilities\, you can make a powerful hands-on difference by volunteering with us at Halftime Respite. \nAs a volunteer\, you will join our team in offering joy and respite\, all while making a lasting difference in the name of Jesus. \n\nNo experience is necessary! Training will be provided before the event begins.\nGreat opportunity for families or church groups to serve together.\nReach out to Megan Thomas to learn more!\n\nVolunteer Arrival Time:\nArrive at 9:00 AM for on-site Halftime Respite training.  \nVolunteer Cost:\nNo cost to volunteer \nAdditional Training Information:\nMandatory sexual abuse prevention training is required before volunteering. Training will be held online via Zoom during August. All volunteers 18+ who did not receive this training in 2025 must participate with cameras on throughout the Zoom training.  \nTraining Date Options:\nAugust 13th at 7:00 PM\nAugust 24th at 7:00 PM
