SUMMARY:Warrior Getaway Washington
DESCRIPTION:Warrior Getaway serves American servicemen and servicewomen living with visible and invisible injuries or disabilities as a result of military service. Veterans\, along with their families\, are provided a safe space for respite\, spiritual renewal\, and healing. Families experience fellowship with others facing similar difficulties and find new hope in Christ. Enjoy a wide range of accessible family activities\, powerful speakers\, counseling opportunities\, and time in God’s Word. \nDuring morning sessions\, we will have a great speaker and small group time with other Veterans and spouses. Meanwhile the children have their own program and activities. In the afternoon we have activities (kayaking\, ax-throwing\, rock wall\, horses\, tubing\, etc.) to enjoy as a family\, with your spouse\, or with other Veterans. There is optional childcare in the afternoon. Evening activities may include a trivia night\, a concert\, and other fun activities\, in addition to a closing bonfire. \nNOTE: Single Veterans are welcome\, as well as Veterans and their families. We will have programing that includes everyone who comes! \nAmenities and Activities:\n\nActivities for all ages\nBoating and tubing\nBonfire\nBuffet-style meals\nCoffee shop\nFamily rooms with private bathrooms\nLakefront\n\nFamily Cost:\n$100 per family. Generous Joni and Friends donors have covered the remaining $375 cost for all Warrior family members. \nVolunteer Cost:\n$375 per person.
