DESCRIPTION:Information for FamiliesInformation for VolunteersInformation for FamiliesThanks to our partners at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds\, Joni and Friends will be hosting a Disability Friendly Day at the Mississippi State Fair! Join us from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. to experience a disability-friendly version of the fair with adjustments made to enhance accessibility like sensory tents\, wheelchair accessible restrooms\, and dedicated quiet zones available alongside the classic attractions of the Mississippi State Fair. Volunteer buddies will be partnered with registered families to provide support throughout the day. \nAttention: There are no physical tickets for this event. Simply check in at our registration table upon arrival.Information for Volunteers\nJoin Joni and Friends Mississippi as a volunteer as we co-host a disability-friendly experience at the Mississippi State Fair. Together\, we will serve individuals living with disability from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. to make the fair accessible for all families. Volunteers will be paired with families to act as buddies throughout the fair visit. \nTo show their support to the disability community\, the Mississippi State Fair has offered a free ticket for the day for all those that register through Joni and Friends. Register today for your free ticket to attend as a participant or sign up to be a buddy volunteer to help Mississippi families make the most of this fun experience!

Enjoy games\, a hayride\, a complimentary dinner\, music\, and dancing! \nThis fun\, welcoming event will be held in partnership with Longview Heights Baptist Church\, Compel Church\, Brown Missionary Baptist Church\, and The Arc of Northwest Mississippi. \nParticipant FAQs: \nIs this an indoor or outdoor event?This is an outdoor event. There are coverings in case of inclement weather. Will the event still happen if it is raining?Yes! Rain or shine the Barnyard Bash will still be in full swing! We have plenty of space for you to enjoy the day even if there is rain.Where will I park?Upon arrival\, our parking team will direct you to our convenient and accessible drop-off point. Once you have reached the unloading area you will be given instructions to park in the designated parking area.Is this event wheelchair accessible?Yes! We make necessary adjustments around the farm to provide an environment that is accessible for wheelchair users.Is the event open to all ages?Yes\, everyone is welcome! The Barnyard Bash will be a great day of fun and fellowship for all ages.What if I have food allergies?We are not able to accommodate food allergies.
