Each volunteer plays an essential role during a Wheels for the World outreach. Serve with us in a seating therapist\, mechanic\, photographer\, seamstress\, or support role. Every team member will directly impact the lives of people living with disability. \nWhat to know about MongoliaMongolia’s sweeping steppes and nomadic traditions reflect the strength and endurance of its people. People living with disability here often experience isolation\, especially in rural areas where resources are scarce. Serving in Mongolia allows you to extend Christ’s love in tangible ways\, providing wheelchairs\, encouragement\, and connection. Together with local believers and community leaders\, you’ll bring hope and help break through barriers that keep many from living fully.Cost and Safety Protocols\nThe cost for this outreach is all-inclusive and covers round-trip economy airfare from any city within the continental United States\, visas (if required)\, in-country transportation\, shared accommodations (double occupancy) while in-country\, meals while in-country\, and a cultural experience. However\, any pre-outreach vaccination requirements are the responsibility of each individual traveler. Outreach costs may vary for applicants traveling from outside the 48 contiguous United States. Joni and Friends will adhere to country protocols related to health and safety requirements.

Every team member will directly impact the lives of people living with disability. \nWhat to know about GuatemalaThis captivating Central American country is bordered by Mexico\, the Pacific Ocean\, Belize\, the Caribbean\, Honduras and El Salvador. The heart of the former Mayan civilization has an area approximately the size of Tennessee. While some rights do exist for people living with disabilities in Guatemala\, they fall short in protecting their basic human rights. Because of this\, many families living with disability are abandoned\, neglected\, or treated with disrespect and abuse. On this outreach\, we will reach out to people living with disability in the country of Guatemala\, distributing Bibles\, wheelchairs\, and other mobility equipment.
