In a fully accessible camp environment\, families are cared for\, rejuvenated\, and encouraged in Christ. Come enjoy a fun\, Christ-centered environment that is safe and accepting for each member of the family. During your time of respite and refreshment\, you will build lasting memories and find renewed hope as you take part in Bible study and accessible activities (swimming\, boating\, and horseback riding!)\, all while connecting with other families who face similar challenges. Come for inclusive worship\, evenings under the stars\, time in God’s Word\, and encouraging messages from our speakers—it’s a little slice of heaven! \nFamily Cost:\n$560 per personInformation for VolunteersIf you are a Christ-follower with a heart to bring help and Gospel hope to people with disabilities\, you can make a powerful hands-on difference by volunteering with us at a Joni and Friends Family Retreat. \nAs a volunteer at Family Retreat\, you will join our team in offering experiences of joy\, rest\, and belonging in the body of Christ. Whether you serve as a one-on-one buddy\, help with crafts\, or lead Bible studies or times of worship\, you will make a lasting difference in the name of Jesus. \n\nNo experience is necessary! DESCRIPTION:Wheels for the World® provides life-changing mobility and the hope of the Gospel to people living with disabilities worldwide. Join a Wheels for the World outreach to Indonesia! Each volunteer plays an essential role during a Wheels for the World outreach. Serve with us in a seating therapist\, mechanic\, photographer\, seamstress\, or support role. Every team member will directly impact the lives of people living with disability. \nWhat to know about IndonesiaIndonesia\, a vibrant archipelago of islands rich with culture and hospitality\, is home to communities full of energy and tradition. Yet people with disabilities often face exclusion and limited access to mobility aids. By serving in Indonesia\, you’ll provide wheelchairs that bring independence and share the Gospel that brings transformation. You’ll work alongside pastors\, mechanics\, and church volunteers who are committed to ensuring people with disabilities are embraced as vital members of their communities.Cost and Safety Protocols\nThe cost for this outreach is all-inclusive and covers round-trip economy airfare from any city within the continental United States\, visas (if required)\, in-country transportation\, shared accommodations (double occupancy) while in-country\, meals while in-country\, and a cultural experience. However\, any pre-outreach vaccination requirements are the responsibility of each individual traveler. Outreach costs may vary for applicants traveling from outside the 48 contiguous United States. Joni and Friends will adhere to country protocols related to health and safety requirements.

Of those in need\, 80% live in developing nations where wheelchairs are unavailable or unaffordable. As a result\, people living with disability are often isolated\, rejected\, and ignored by their community. You can help change this! \nEvery wheelchair donated to Joni and Friends is the opportunity for someone to experience the love and hope of Jesus Christ! Joni and Friends and Moody Radio invite you to donate used manual wheelchairs so they can be restored to like-new condition and delivered to people in need in a developing nation.
