Join us for a time of fun and refreshment! \nFamily Cost:\n$550 per personInformation for Volunteers\nIf you are a Christ-follower with a heart to bring help and Gospel hope to people with disabilities\, you can make a powerful hands-on difference by volunteering with us at a Joni and Friends Family Retreat. \nAs a volunteer at Family Retreat\, you will join our team in offering experiences of joy\, rest\, and belonging in the body of Christ. Whether you serve as a one-on-one buddy\, help with crafts\, or lead Bible studies or times of worship\, you will make a lasting difference in the name of Jesus. \n\nNo experience is necessary! DESCRIPTION:Wheels for the World® provides life-changing mobility and the hope of the Gospel to people living with disabilities worldwide. Join a Wheels for the World outreach to Mozambique! Each volunteer plays an essential role during a Wheels for the World outreach. Serve with us in a seating therapist\, mechanic\, photographer\, seamstress\, or support role. Every team member will directly impact the lives of people living with disability. \nWhat to know about MozambiqueMozambique’s stunning coastline and vibrant traditions are matched by the resilience and warmth of its people. Still\, many people with disability live in poverty and without access to essential mobility equipment. By serving in Mozambique\, you’ll provide more than wheelchairs. You will bring dignity\, joy\, and the Good News of Christ. With pastors\, therapists\, and church volunteers\, you’ll see how God’s love is opening doors for people with disabilities to flourish in their communities.Cost and Safety Protocols\nThe cost for this outreach is all-inclusive and covers round-trip economy airfare from any city within the continental United States\, visas (if required)\, in-country transportation\, shared accommodations (double occupancy) while in-country\, meals while in-country\, and a cultural experience. However\, any pre-outreach vaccination requirements are the responsibility of each individual traveler. Outreach costs may vary for applicants traveling from outside the 48 contiguous United States. Joni and Friends will adhere to country protocols related to health and safety requirements.

DESCRIPTION:Event InformationVolunteer InformationEvent InformationHosted by Joni and Friends Central California\, this Warrior Getaway is held at Calvin Crest Camp in Oakhurst\, surrounded by the Sierra National Forest (30 minutes from Yosemite National Park). We serve our American servicemen and servicewomen who have visible and invisible injuries as a result of military service. Veterans\, along with their families\, are provided a safe space for respite\, spiritual renewal\, and healing. Your family will experience fellowship with others facing similar challenges\, and find new hope in Christ. Come enjoy a wide range of accessible family activities\, powerful speakers\, counseling opportunities\, and time in God’’’s Word. \nEvent Cost:\n$100 per family. Generous Joni and Friends donors have covered the remaining $500 cost for all participating families.Volunteer InformationIf you are a Christ-follower with a heart to bring help and Gospel hope to people with disabilities\, you can make a powerful hands-on difference by volunteering with us at a Warrior Getaway. \nAs a volunteer at Warrior Getaway\, you will join our team in offering experiences of healing\, rest\, and belonging to American servicemen\, servicewomen\, Veterans\, and their family members. Whether you serve in children’s programming\, offer support to Warriors as a peer-to-peer volunteer\, or step into another supporting role\, you will make a lasting difference\, all in the name of Jesus. \n\nNo experience is necessary! DESCRIPTION:Wheels for the World® provides life-changing mobility to people living with disabilities worldwide. Join a Wheels for the World outreach to Jordan! Each volunteer plays an essential role during a Wheels for the World outreach. Serve with us in a seating therapist\, mechanic\, photographer\, seamstress\, or support role. Every team member will directly impact the lives of people living with disability. \nWhat to know about JordanJordan\, located in West Asia\, is known for its desert adventures\, delicious Jordanian cooking\, and spectacular holy sites including the Red Sea and the Dead Sea. Amid conflicts in the Middle East\, the Kingdom of Jordan has taken in thousands of refugees from neighboring countries\, making it an exceptionally diverse nation. In some cities\, populations have doubled\, increasing needs for disability resources and mobility equipment. On this outreach\, you will work alongside our in-country partners to give the gift of mobility to people living with disabilities.Cost and Safety Protocols\nThe cost for this outreach is all-inclusive and covers round-trip economy airfare from any city within the continental United States\, visas (if required)\, in-country transportation\, shared accommodations (double occupancy) while in-country\, meals while in-country\, and a cultural experience. However\, any pre-outreach vaccination requirements are the responsibility of each individual traveler. Outreach costs may vary for applicants traveling from outside the 48 contiguous United States. Joni and Friends will adhere to country protocols related to health and safety requirements.
